This review is part of the Babyologist programme, where a team of hand-selected reviewers put baby products and toys to the test with their little ones for useful insight by parents, for parents.
We already have quite a few of the Fisher-Price Range of baby toys, mats etc. But when the Toyologist Department sent us a Bouncer Chair to try we was very excited. Originally we only had a mechanical swing for Rowan, but this has been ideal as easier to move around, and folds up flat so great for storing when not in use.
The first thing that draws you to the product is the bright colours. The bouncer chair is also great for unisex, so can keep for more children or pass on when finished. Considering how easy this folds up flat, I thought it may be similar strength to a deck chair type, but this is very sturdy when baby is placed in it. The product has an adjustable three point harness which keeps baby nice and secure.
Unlike some other bouncers, Rowan looked very comfy in this and has been happy playing in this or having a nap. The seat gently bounces and also has a vibration option which settles Rowan each time he is in the bouncer.
Also as the product folds flat, it is easy to transport or if going away it is ideal. Rowan loves the toys on the chair and can now grasp these to feel them. The seat is washable which is a great help.
I would thoroughly recommend this product, since a friend of mine has got one for her daughter and was amazed how calm her baby was when in the bouncer and again commented on the ease of folding the product away. One comment if any is, it is a shame the chair doesn’t play music too but this hasn’t caused any problems with us.
